We are looking to employ a qualified ESL tto provide English language lessons to students from different backgrounds and cultures. The ESL teacher will be responsible for planning lessons and activities, adopting a creative approach, and encouraging and motivating students to learn.

ESL Teacher Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver lessons to Cambridge IGCSE standard to Year 10/11 students in Global Perspectives;
• To plan and deliver lessons up to Year 11 in developing individual and collaborative research based skills in environmental/humanities/global issues based topic areas;
• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, collaborative research work, assignments, and papers;
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and collaborative as well as individual research projects;
• Compile, administer and grade practical research projects as a means of compiled assessment at Cambridge standard and expectations;
• Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues and participating in professional conferences.

Job Description The Computer Science/Digital Literacy teacher is an exemplary teacher responsible for the instruction that takes place in the school and directing his or her efforts toward ensuring that great teaching yields great learning. This is a founding position for this subject. The teacher will have responsibility for developing a computer science curriculum for middle school grades, with possible teaching responsibilities for one high school course. The school is partnering with Adhesive to develop a tiered computer science curriculum; the ideal candidate will have capacity to supplement this curriculum material with additional coding and digital literacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enrich their expertise in computer science/digital literacy;
  • Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of specific learning standards;
  • Coordinate lesson plans and Expeditions with other teachers to maximize possibilities for integrated, multi-disciplinary teaching;
  • Implement FSI’s instructional methods and strategies;
  • Conduct long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students;
  • Prepare students adequately for all required assessments;
  • Evaluate students’ progress;
